Why DFW Metro Safe Chapter?

The SAFE Association is an international organization dedicated to encouraging the exchange of information related to the advancement of personal safety and protection in land, sea, air and space environments.

DFW Metro Safe Chapter is the regional Dallas-Ft. Worth chapter of the National SAFE Association. The SAFE Association is an international (non-profit) professional organization with regional chapters in the United Sates, Europe, and Asia.

DFW Metro Safe Chapter membership spans industry, government, and academia though out the North Texas area representing interests from engineering, human factors, psychology, physiology, industrial safety, education, and training, and many other fields association with human safety and protection.

The chapter provides local venues to support the goals of SAFE, and interests of local members. Regular opportunities are provided for members to exchange information, make business and technical contacts, tour facilities, hear speakers, witness technology demonstrations, and socialize. The chapter is also a forum for marketing products, technologies, methods, and ideas.

Currently, the President and CEO of Sera Star Systems, a Woman-Owned Small Business, a US Defense Mission-Critical Supplier based in Dallas-Ft. Worth. We specialize in federal government procurement and contracting, and provider for military life support equipment, tactical products, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the US military. Our focus is to continually bring new and disruptive solutions, products, best practice services to market, and independent research and development (R&D) in order to meet the operational needs of the warfighter.

I am a data-driven and analytical professional, and company senior leader with over 16 years of experience, overseeing, managing, and developing teams to provide exceptional service to our clients and to build out our businesses.

I have a long history of founding, operating, and owning my own companies or serving in positions of senior leadership. Currently, I am the Chief Operating Officer of Sera Star Systems (S3), a Woman-Owned Small Business, a US Defense Mission-Critical Supplier based in Dallas-Ft. Worth.

National SAFE Association
Members of SAFE DFW Metro Safe Chapter are also encouraged to join The National SAFE Association. Like SAFE DFW Metro Safe Chapter, The National Association is comprised of corporate sponsors, individual, government, and academic members. The National Association provides additional forums for members which include technical publications and an annual symposium.

The National Association publishes the SAFE Journal which consists of technical articles and items of general interest. Members are encouraged to submit papers for publication in the journal.

The annual SAFE Symposium features exhibits, technical demonstrations, and technical paper sessions which focus on the latest information and state-of-the-art advancements in human safety and performance. The SAFE Symposium is an international gathering which attracts more than 700 attendees and over 50 industry and military exhibitors from around the world.
